MCP caught in a web of lies

The now changed and revamped Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has just been caught in a web of lies with the aim of either boosting their morale or sowing seeds of discrepancy in other parties and even both.

MCP, now an unashamed user of social media, has suddenly resorted to using a number of social media channels to either tout their candidate, Rev. Dr. Lazarous Chakwera, or make baseless and confusing assumptions as recent revelations have come to reveal.

Earlier this week, MCP made the nation believe that DPP strongman in the Northern region district of Nkhatabay, Symon Vuwa Kaunda, was contemplating ditching his party to join MCP. However, the former minister of information has distanced himself from such allegations and has labeled them malicious.

“I’m still with the DPP and my goal is to see to it that Peter Mutharika wins the next election,” said Kaunda, an alleged accomplice in the alleged crime of treason that Mutharika is answering together with five others including Kaunda.

So far, through the same social networks, MCP has hinted that it not only was Kaunda who was praying to join them but also the current Minister of Information, Moses Kunkuyu, and current speaker of Parliament, Henry Chimunthu Banda.

With the current and strong denial of the MCP propaganda by Kaunda, however, it gets hard to believe if what the MCP has been alleging has any elements of truth to it or is simply an attempt at sowing seeds of confusion in other parties so that they get a better leverage.
