Ex-Malawi Congress Party stalwart, Beston Majoni, who has since defected to the Peoples’ Party to possibly take a munch on the freebies of cashgate money has promised the country’s state President, Joyce Banda, that his defection from the MCP to PP will bring a quarter of a million votes to the state President in the 2014 elections.

Majoni said this at a rally that the President organized on Saturday at Kalambo ground in Area 25 where he also was unveiled as the latest PP’s catch from the camp of Malawi’s oldest Political party, MCP.

At the same rally, an ex executive member of the United Democratic Front (UDF) was unveiled as another defector from the yellow camp to the orange camp.
