Veep Kachali to contest as MP

The predictors who expected a huge fallout in the ruling Peoples’ Party might just have been right.

Reports indicate that Vice President Khumbo Kachali is going to contest as a Member of Parliament for his Mzimba West.

Tongues have been wagging that Kachali, the first ever Vice-President from the Northern region, will not be considered by President Banda as a running mate for the forthcoming 2014 elections.

Owing to his venomous tongue that has seen him attracting the wrath of the citizenry and the stealing of beds from Mponela hospital to transfer them to Mzimba West when by-elections were being held there, it seems the electorate has lost trust in him and subsequently President Banda.

It is not know how Kachali will react when President Banda will finally announce her running mate and have him nowhere near the list even though it must be obvious that he sees it coming.
