Cashgate scares away Blair governance group

The Africa Governance Initiative (AGI), an organization led by Tony Blair, will be withdrawing its support from the Malawi government from next year, Reports indicate.

It has been said that from January, the organization that offers advice to leaders in Africa on governance and was closely working with the President will be packing up their bags such that the staff that was working in the state house have already been informed of the development.

In the face of the Cashgate scandal, Blair was under heavy criticism as to what his organization was doing in Malawi in the face of such embarrassing events.
