Peoples’ Party (PP) administrative secretary, Joseph Chikwemba, who suffered a humiliating defeat in the primaries in Zomba central constituency is set to be compensated with a diplomatic post, reports indicate.
According to the reports which FaceofMalawi is yet to independently verify, Chikwemba is positioned for a diplomatic post in Japan.
Others have argued that this is a way of compensating the man who has been with the party throughout but was scoffed at by his own people in the party primaries.
After the loss in the primaries, Chikwemba had attempted to have the votes twisted in his favour by having a re-run that he would rig but it was to no avail.
Now, Chikwemba just serves as a mere administrative secretary of the party, falling from the after May 20 PP MP for Zomba central post he had given himself.
