DPP IN COLD WAR WITH MCP OVER THYOLO SAGA

As the blame game over the Thyolo incidents that happened two weeks ago refuse to rest, Democratic Progressive Party,(DPP) President Peter Mutharika  on Sunday branded Malawi Congress Party (MCP) President  as a liar.

The remarks comes amid claims made by Dr Lazarus Chakwera that few days after the Thyolo saga he reached DPP president to find ways of curbing political violence in rallies.

In his remarks DPP president denied talking to MCP president over the issue.

“Rev. Chakwera did not say the truth when he said hard talked to me after the Goliati incident.

“The last time I talked to him was when he was elected MCP President. I called him to congratulate him; that’s all. We have not talked since then and it is not true that he talked to me”, said Mutharika.

Meanwhile President Banda has maintained his point that DPP was behind the Thyolo saga
