The ruling People’s Party (PP), running mate Sosten Gwengwe in the forthcoming tripartite election has been accused of inducing transfers of three Head teachers of Dedza Central Constituency.
According to the report, three Head teachers have been transferred because of receiving donation from Malawi Congress Party(MCP) aspiring Member of Parliament for the area.
In his speech one of the victims, Symon Ngungu said:”Gwengwe approached one of us and said he was not happy that our schools accepted the donation from Chiwere. But how could we refuse books which will improve teaching and learning in our schools?”.
But Gwengwe in an interview with one of the local newspaper in the country denied being behind the transfer.
Ngungu has been transferred from Mkomela Primary School to Songwe Primary School. Kaferapanjira from Mwenje to Gwengwere Primary School while another teacher from Chilamba to Chisili Primary School.
