UKNOWN PEOPLE PRODUCE FAKE WATER BILLS IN LL

According to the documents that Face of Malawi have in possession ,  the fake document which bare the Lilongwe water board’s log has an account which has eight digits which is  contrary to the original bill which has seven digits

The original bill contains  customers plot number, Area/Book/number  whilst the fake bill contains a repetition of the  plot number and the original water bill depicts the last date of the month while the fake does not.

confirming  the development, Lilongwe water board wrote on their face book page:

 ” Lilongwe Water Board has noted with great concern that unknown people are illegally connecting water supply and producing fake water bills and correcting money from residents around the city”.

The body  has also argued that it does not send its personnel to correct water bills from customers.
