FLAMES DROPS 7 STEPS ON FIFA RANKINGS

The 4-1 loss the Malawi national football team suffered at the hands of the Warriors of Zimbabwe last month have negatively affected the team’s ranking as the team has dropped seven steps on FIFA rankings.

The Flames are on position 121 from last month’s 115 in the world and 36 in Africa.

Last month the Flames gain a step despite the 4-1 loss against  Zimbabwe while the Warriors dropped.

But Zimbabwe have benefited from the demolition of the Flames to move up four steps to position 98 in the world and 26 in the African continent.

Ivory Coast are still the highest ranked team in Africa but have also gained three steps in the world to be at 21, Egypt are second in Africa but have also gained two places in the world to be on number 24,  Algeria third in Africa but 25 in world having risen three steps up.
