Peter Mutharika reaches 1million votes in 16 districts

Unofficial results from 16 districts of Malawi’s 29 districts in the Presidential race. These districts are: Zomba, Mulanje, Balaka, Chiradzulu, Thyolo, Neno, Dedza, Mchinji, Ntchisi, Dowa, Salima, Ntcheu, Likoma, Nkhatabay, Rumphi and Phalombe.
1. Peter Mutharika of the DPP 1, 033, 000
2. Lazarus Chakwera of the MCP 561, 260
3. Joyce Banda of the PP 370, 548
4. Atupele Muluzi of the UDF 173, 613
