President Dr Joyce Banda has accepted to take care the daughter of late former deputy minister of Local government Godfrey Kamanya as requested.
This was disclosed Yesterday during the burial ceremony the remains of Kamanya at his proposed area 18 cemetery in Lilongwe.
Speaking on behalf of President Joyce Banda who was not present at the funeral ceremony, Minister of Home Affairs Mr Uladi Mussah said he was shocked with the death and the party has lost the most important person who worked very hard in strengthening the party.
He also disclosed that President Banda has accepted to take care of the child until she finishes as per call.
Kamanya, 41 survived by a wife and child.
Former Minister shot himself in the wee hours of Thursday at his residence in area 10 in Lilongwe.
