MCTU CALLS FOR CALM AMONG MALAWIANS

Date:

As the political standoff continues to lock the country’s tripartite election,  Malawi Congress of Trade Union (MCTU) has called on all Malawians in the country to remain calm as they await the results for the election.

MCTU general secretary  Pontius Elijah Kalichero said this through the statements released yesterday.

In the statement, the body has asked political parties to let Malawi Electoral Commission to act independently.

The grouping has further asked the body to look into the complaints raised by various political parties and address them accordingly.

Meanwhile Malawi Electoral Commission has said results for the polls will be released in 30days from now.
