The newly elected President Professor Author Peter Mutharika has urged all the 11 Presidential contenders in the May 20 tripartite election to join him in rebuilding the country.
Mutharika who was accompanied by his Vice President honourable Saulosi Chilima said this at a swearing in ceremony that took place at Blantyre High Court.
In his speech after being sworn, Mutharika said Malawi as a country is facing enormous challenges in terms of economy and for this to be collected there is need for all stakeholders to rally behind him.
Mutharika takes over the rains of power from former President Dr Joyce Banda who was also among the for front-runners in the May 20 tripartite election.
