Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) will welcome into their fold Vice President of the republic who has also defected from the ruling Peoples’ Party (PP), FaceofMalawi can exclusively reveal.
Information we have in our custody indicates that the move of Kachali has perfectly been finalized and all is set to have him unveiled to the public as an official member of the DPP.
“Trust me, next week Khumbo will be seen by the public at a DPP organized event and that will be the official announcement,” said a high placed source.
When asked what the day will be next week, the source indicated that the party was yet to settle for a day but it will be before Wednesday.
“As you know we are edging closer to the elections, we have to welcome him quickly and at the same time let the campaign continue. I cannot tell you the actual day but it will be before Wednesday,” said the source.
