WE HAVE WON THE ELECTIONS – MCP CLAIMS

Malawi Congress Party has claimed that it has won the May 20 – 23 elections on the Presidential race and not the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) as other sectors have tried to put it.

Speaking at a press conference currently underway in the Capital City, MCP President Lazarus Chakwera has indicated that the information from their monitors countrywide indicates that the party has won.

Chakwera has further blamed media houses of portraying Mutharika as a winner of the May elections when it is not true. The two dailies today of the Weekend Nation and Malawi News carried headlines that indicated that Mutharika had emerged winner in the elections.
