President Professor Author Peter Mutharia has appointed Goodall Edward Gondwe as Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and Development.

This has been disclosed through a Press Statement post on the Government Official Facebook page few minutes  ago.

“The statement reads: “President Arthur Peter Mutharika in exercise of powers conferred upon the President by section 92(1) as read with section 94(1) of the constitution of Malawi has appointed Goodall Edward Gondwe as Minister of Finance & Economic Planning and Development with immediate effect”.

Gondwe also served as Minister of Finance during the first term of his late brother Professor Bingu Wa Mutharika .
