The newly elected President Professor Peter Mutharika has for the second time appealed for unity among Malawians and live as one family in getting the country’s economy on the right track.
The head of state was speaking Wednesday afternoon at Biwi Triangle in Lilongwe during a whistle stop tour on his return from Blantyre two days after his inauguration.
“This is our Malawi and it does not matter which party from which you come or who it is that you voted for so let’s work together and I will be everyone’s president because you are all my children.” said Mutharika.
He further said he is ready to work with everyone who wishes to help in rebuilding the country.
