The newly elected Members of the August House will be sworn in on Monday next week at a ceremony to be held in [Parliament] Chamber in Lilongwe.
This is according to the Press release issued on Thursday from Malawi National Assembly.
Clerk of Parliament Rooservelt Gondwe confirmed of the development by saying: “Swearing-in ceremony of new parliamentarians will take place in the [ parliament] Chamber from 9am to 5pm, while the orientation will take place from June 11 to 13”.
He further said the orientation will take place at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC).
The country held a tripartite election on 20 May where citizens were given a chance to elect President, Member of Parliament and Ward Councilors.
