The Vice President hounarable Saulosi  Klausi Chilima has disclosed that the wedding of the newly elected President Professor Peter Mutharika and former Member of Parliament Gertrude Hendrina Maseko will cost K38 million.

Chilima who is also chairing the weeding said this in a press briefing held in Blantyre of Friday.

In his speech, Chilima hinted that all the money used in the preparation for the wedding will not come from government coffers.

“We will not use government resources”, he said.

Mutharika hails from Thyolo while Maseko hails from Balaka.

The state of the art wedding will held at St Michael and All Angels Church in Blantyre on June 21 and the reception will be held at Ndata Farm in Thyolo.
