MUTHARIKA URGES NEW MINISTERS TO DESIST FROM CORRUPTION

President Professor Author Peter Mutharika has warned the newly elected Minister to desist from any act that will aim at tarnishing the good  image of his government.

Mutharika said this during the swearing-in ceremony  held at Mtunthama State Lodge in Lilongwe.

In his speech, Mutharika said   his government is ready to work with the new ministers in transforming the country’s economy which is at the verge of collapse.

Mutharika further said the new Ministers should desist from  misappropriating public funds but should  work hard  to preserve the good image of the new DPP.

Speaking in an interview, Minister of Health Jean Kalilani thanked  the President for considering her in the Cabinet and she pledged a total support to the President.

Mutharika pledged to have 20 member cabinet and is now  remaining with 10 Ministers to appoint.
