As the shakeup at Capitol Hill continues to draw the attention of many Malawians, reports reaching Face of Malawi indicate that Pilirani Phiri, Editor at Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) has been appointed as Press Officer in the office of Vice President hounorable Saulos Chilima.
Sources from the Office of the President and Cabinet confirmed of the development by saying appointment letter has been sent to Phiri to take up his new job.
The appointment of Phiri comes barely hours after President Professor Author Peter Mutharika also hired the services of Malawi News Editor Fredrick Ndala as Press Officer at State House and MBC tv Broadcaster Timpunza Mwansambo as Deputy.
When approached for comment, Phiri asked for more time.
