WOMAN DIES AFTER TAKING ARV OVERDORSE IN RUMPHI

A 21 year old Women in Rumphi is reported dead  after taking an overdose of Anti Retro Viral (ARVs) drugs.
Rumphi Police Spokesperson Victor Khamisi confirmed of the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Alice Mkandawire, 21 from Chiyimilire Village in the area of Traditional Authority Nsomba in Blantyre District.

“We [Police] went to the scene of incident alongside medical personnel from Mhuju Health Centre after relatives reported the matter to us.

The first thing we noticed at the scene of the incident was that the deceased was foaming in her mouth. So we took the body taken to Mhuju Health Centre for post-mortem,” said Khamisi.

The husband of the deceased died few weeks ago after a long illness.
