RE-INTRODUCE THE SHOOT TO-KILL POLICY -THE GENERAL PUBLIC URGES THE GOVT

Date:

The general Public across the country are asking the Police to re-introduce the shoot to kill policy, in light of the new outbreaks of armed and violent robberies.
The call comes barely days after unknown thugs hacked to death a Rwandese national and attacked his family in Chigumula, before stealing household property.
The shoot to kill policy was introduced by former president Binguwa Mutharika before he died in office on 5th April in 2012.
But the policy was abandoned when former President Dr. Joyce Banda assumed the high office saying this was not the good way of dealing with crime in the country.
Meanwhile it is not yet known as to whether the new government of President Professor Author Peter Mutharika will re-introduce the policy since no one was available to comment when FaceofMalawi tried to contact some of the government officials
