In continued pursuit to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the Civil Service, His Excellency the State President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has directed the following:
1. The Department of Culture should be relocated from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture to the Ministry of Information and Tourism. In view of this, the full names of the two ministries should now be Ministry of Information, Tourism and Culture and Ministry of Youth and Sports Development respectively.
2. The Public Sector Reforms Management Unit to be relocated from the office of the President and Cabinet to the office of the vice president.
3. The Department of E-Government to be relocated from the office of the President and Cabinet to the Ministry of Information Tourism and Culture.
Government has decided to introduce these measures with immediate effect.
