PETER FOTE SAYS HE WAS NOT ALONE IN MATCH FIXING

Date:

Drama continues in the case involving Malawi Broadcasting Corporation [MBC] sports Journalist Peter Fote who is allegedly being suspected of trying to sale the Flames game to its counterparts, Benin.

Information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicate that Fote when he was called by FAM officials for questioning on the issue, he revealed that some Coaches were also part of the plot.

This has been revealed by Flames assistant Coach Jack Chamangwa.

Fote who travelled with the Flames to Benin is alleged to have sent a text to Benin officials advising of having tips on how the team can beat Flames which he could give to them over a payment. Unfortunately the text went to the flames official.

“The reporter in question has alleged that some coaches are also part of this syndicate, so we want them to get exposed and possibly get punished as well,” said Chamangwa.

He further said that with the development it will be difficult for the flames technical panel to trust reporters
