PARLIAMENT RESUME SITTING ON 1 SEPTEMBER

Speaker of parliament Mr Richard Msowoya has announced that the budget meeting of parliament will start on Monday, September 1, in Lilongwe and that the meeting will run up to October 3.

A statement from the speaker has advised all cabinet ministers, deputy ministers and all members of parliament to attend the sitting.

The meeting will discuss the first budget of the newly elected DPP government pegged at 734 billion kwacha.
