Former President Joyce Banda has gone back to her ex charity works after spending slightly over a month overseas following the defeat she suffered in the Presidential poll.
Banda through her Joyce Banda Foundation today visited the Nancholi home of the elderly and orphans where she gave out various assorted items.
The former President had hinted that she was not going to stop visiting the underprivileged simply because she was President. She said in response to the arguments from her critics that she was extravagant in her travels.
Banda back then had indicated that it was in her nature to visit people and the position was not to stop her.
Meanwhile some commentators on social media have indicated that Banda’s gesture is a welcome development and it fits well with her duties.
She is yet to start her political career after falling face flat in the elections mid this year.
