High Court in Blantyre granted bail to murder suspect Ali Kaka Chinemba, but relatives of late David Banda have expressed sadness on the move.
Chinemba, a politician, was arrested early this month for allegedly shooting dead a 20 year old Banda.
He is suspected to have shot Banda after the two quarreled when the deceased had parked a lorry which was offloading sand near the passage that leads to Chinemba’s residence blocking the passage in the process.
In an interview, Lawyer for Chinemba, Zwelithini Chipembere maintained that every suspect has a right to bail despite the gravity of their offense.
Meanwhile, relatives of late Banda are saddened by the release of Chinemba on bail.
