CHE NKOPE RECOVERING; DATE SOUTH AFRICA NEXT WEEK

Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ)fm radio comic maker, Nicholas Mbonela also known as Che Nkope will be airlifted to South Africa next week for medical treatment.

Ministry of Health spokesperson Henry Chimbali confirmed of the development.

In his speech, chimbali said all logistical arrangement that were hampering the trip are almost through and that he is expected to leave the country before Wednesday.

Speaking in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country, Mbonela said he was feeling well and he thanked those people who patronized his fundraising show at Robin’s park.

Mbonela was diagnosed with cardiogenic shock-a condition where the heart cannot pump enough blood as the body requires and was admitted at Blantyre Adventist Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
