FLAMES U-20 COACH RECOMMENDS SOME JUNIOR PLAYERS TO THE SENIOR FLAMES TEAM

Malawi Under-20 coach Ernest Mtawali has recommended some of the junior Flames’ players to be recruited into the senior Flames team after the players performed brilliantly in the African Youth Championship.

Speaking to our FOM reporters Mtawali recommended defenders Boston Kabango, Stanley Sanudi, midfielders Dalitso Sailesi, Isaac Kaliati and goalkeeper Brighton Munthali to the Flames saying “gradually they can make it, but that’s the coaches’s decision.”

Speaking to one of the recommended player Brighton Munthali, who plays for Surestream Academy said he has learnt a lot during the international games.

“It has been a learning curve. It’s not the end of the world. I have a couple of offers from Zanaco who have promised to invite me and there is also Silver Strikers, but I’m undecided. For now, I will focus on Surestream,” he said in an interview.
