The country’s First Lady Gertrude Hendrina Mutharika, the patron and Chairperson of Gertrude Mutharika Beatify Malawi Trust (BEAM) has announced that she will launch and have a fundraising dinner for her trust on September 13, 2014.
Madam Mutharika disclosed this through a statement made available to the Press.
According to the statement, the launch and fundraising dinner will be held at Kamuzu Palace Grand Marquee starting from 6pm.
The First Lady says the Trust is also open to any further corporate or individual support in cash or in kind to kick-start BEAM’s dream of making Malawi a cleaner and healthier nation.
The dream, according to the Patron, will be realised through projects in sanitation, waste management and waste recycling.
