An identified man is reported dead after fire raised down his furniture shop along the Ndirande-Chinseu Road in Blantyre.
According to information sourced by FaceofMalawi, the fire started in the wee hours of today and at that time the deceased was sleeping.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Apart from the deceased’s shop, the fire also spread to two other furniture shops, reducing them to ashes.
Meanwhile, Ndirande police have taken the body of the deceased to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital for postmortem.
