MZUZU STANDARD BANK ROBBERY SUSPECTS OUT ON BAIL

The First Grade Magistrate Court in Mzuzu has granted bail to the two people who were arrested in connection to the K0.5 billion recent robbery at Standard Bank in Mzuzu.

The two suspects, Standard Bank Asset and ATM custodian Charles Moffat, and Amos Jere a guard who was guarding the bank’s premises at the day of robbery, have been granted bail.

However, the third suspect Ken Kamwambi, a police officer will still remain on remand because he is also being suspected of stealing a motor vehicle in Blantyre.

The Dalton Magistrate Court in Limbe has already issued a warrant of his arrest.
