WOMAN MURDERS AND CUTS OFF HUBBIES PRIVATE PARTS

Nkhata Bay Police are keeping in custody a 21 year old Irene Filimoni, for allegedly hacking her husband Chifundo Banda, to death and slicing his private parts on Saturday night in Kamoza Village in the area of Senior Chief Mkumbira in the district.

Sources gathered by FaceofMalawi indicated that the accused suspected her husband of having extra marital affair.

FOM speaking to Nkhata Bay Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Ignitous Esau, on the night of Saturday, the deceased came home late and went straight to bed.

It’s reported that the suspected confronted him over the alleged extra marital affair the night he came late, but however he slapped her in the face. Filimoni then left the house where she stayed out for long without returning into the house.

When the deceased had fallen asleep, the wife is alleged to have come into the bedroom armed with an axe and hacked her husband on the forehead.

“The suspect hacked her husband to death in the head with an axe and stabbed him on the neck,” Sergeant Esau explained.

The police spokesperson further said the suspect sliced her husband’s private parts with a sharp object. After noticing that the husband was dead, Filimoni started crying on top of her voice which awakened her neighbours.

Irene Filimoni hails from Kachapira Village while the deceased, Chifundo Banda, hailed from Chitowoka Village both in the area of Traditional Authority Malenga in Ntchisi District.

Meanwhile, the suspect is being kept at Nkhata Bay Police Station with her one year and 10 months old baby. She is expected to appear before the court of law soon to hear her charges.
