CASHGATE REPORT RELEASED: GET TO KNOW SOME OF THE PEOPLE IMPLICATED IN THE REPORT

The government of Malawi through Minister of Information Tourism and Culture Kondwani Nankhumwa on Thursday released the much awaited Cashgate report containing names of people implicated in the looting of public funds at Capitol Hill last year.

Below are just part of the names implicated in the report.

Former President Joyce Banda ( Looting under her watch. She is the chief beneficially of the scam. Through her, PP benefited through cars, Mudzi Transformation Trust among others )

Hawa Ndilowe- The then controlling officer for OPC ( personally liable to theft that occurred in civil service under her watch

Joster Njanji ; Controlling officer for finance at OPC ( already arrested personally approved looting of k3billion )

Chazika Munthali ; Accounts assistant – already arrested

Frank Mwanza; Accounts assistant; already arrested

MINISTRY OF FINANCE

Ken Lipenga – Minister ( already fired but must be arrested – theft occurred under his watch ) to be arrested.

Radson Mwadiwa – Secretary to Treasury ( personally approved FRAUDULENT transfers of funds to foreign companies )to be arrested.

Dr Madalitso Kabambe- Budget Director ( personally approved funding to cash-gating ministries amounting to k1.8 billion from April-July 2013 ) He is at Ministry of Health- to be arrested

Paul Mphwiyo- Former Budget Director ( oversaw the plundering amounting to K11.8 billion between July & September 2013 & personally signed & authorized the fraudulent transfer close to K31.9 billion to foreign companies; to be arrested

Tithokoze Samuel-Assistant budget Director- to be arrested

ACCOUNTANT GENERAL

David Kandoje- Accountant general ( personally co-signed the ‘Cashgate bus cheques worth k560 million ‘ & cheques over k425 million which were deleted in IFMIS without checking authenticity; to be arrested

Kazombo Mwale- Deputy accountant General- ( personally co-signed & authorized k2.6 billion which were deleted in IFMIS ) already arrested.

Mr Sam Madzi- assistant accountant general ( personally co-signed & authorized k8.4 billion which was deleted in IFMIS ) already arrested.

Mr Kaizo; chief accountant ( personally co-signed k3.8 billion which was deleted in IFMIS ) already arrested.

Mr Ndovie- chief accountant ( personally co-signed k4.9 billion which was deleted in IFMIS ) already arrested.

Mrs Kapokosa -chief accountant ( personally co-signed k1.7 billion deleted in IFMIS- to be arrested

Mr Siti -cheque office; already arrested
Mr Maso cheque office; already arrested

Mrs Mbwana; cheque office -already arrested

Mr G Sinoya- cheque office -already arrested

Mr Moses Chiwoni- IT systems administrator, gave rights, CONNIVED FACILITATED deletion of transactions- to be arrested

Grant Kabango; Deputy reserve Governor for supervision of financial institutions personally facilitated & DELIBERATELY ignored warnings of ILLICIT cash withdraws from commercial banks of close to k13.1 billion- to be arrested

Frazer Ndwazika -Director of national payment systems – personally facilitated & DELIBERATELY ignored warnings of ILLICIT cash withdraws from commercial Banks of close to k13.1 billion – to be arrested

Mr Chitowe- husband to Mrs Chitowe who was working as IT officer at accountant General and facilitated the looting at Reserve bank- to be arrested
