Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Samuel Tembenu has appealed to Judges and Magistrates in the country not to go on strike but allow their concerns to be resolved to the satisfaction of every Malawian.

The minister speaking in an interview said “the Judiciary ought to realize that the entire Public Service contributed to the growth and development of the country and there was no justification for one arm of the government to cripple the effective delivery of services.”

The Judiciary is the most important part of the government, hence the need for Judges and Magistrates to give negotiations a chance in the interest of the people of Malawi, said Tembenu.
