Afro R&B star Maskal will tonight be entertaining patrons Mibawa Café opposite Ryalls Hotel as the country prepares to celebrate Matyrs Day tomorrow.

Sources gathered by FaceofMalawi indicate that the artist has organized what he has dubbed a “Heroes Night” concert to honor the political heroes who gave their lives in the struggle against colonialism.

Confirming of the event with FOM reporter the artist’s manager Kimpho Loka said: “It’s a special concert organized to kick start the commemorations as we remember our fallen heroes.”

He said they decided to put the show tonight because tomorrow, Tuesday, will be a public holiday.

“People should be able to come in large numbers and spend a night out knowing that they are not working on Tuesday,” he explained.

Maskal is expected to perform most of the tracks from his two albums “Nthawi” and “Umunthu” as well as his recent releases “The Way You Are” and “Ona”.

Loka added: “This is one show one can’t afford to miss. It really could be the best music concert to attend so far in Blantyre”.

The show is scheduled to commence at 8:00pm and the charges are K2, 000 per head.
