GOtv subscribers in the country have to dig deeper into their pocket starting from April 1, 2015 following Multichoice Malawi decision to hike prices of GOtv subscription.
According Multichoice Malawi, GOtv subscription has been hiked by MK600 from MK4, 100 to MK4, 700.
Multichoice Malawi Marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying price hike is because of the adding of new channels to the bouquet.
Nyirenda added that the bouquet will be adjusting its prices whenever new channels have been added.
Founded on January 18, 2013, GOtv is deemed one of the cheapest pay television which has over 29 great channels, from religion, series, documentaries, drama, politics, sports and music among others.
GOtv is a product of Multichoice Malawi which is a new pay television aimed at providing great family entertainment and it is Africa first pay television operating using the next generation of Digital Video Broadcast standard (DVB).
GOtv is available in Malawi, Zambia, Uganda and Kenya among other countries.
