CHILUMBA RURAL HOSPITAL STAFFS ARRESTED FOR STEALING MALARIA DRUGS

Four Chilumba rural hospital staffs in the district of Karonga are in police custody for allegedly stealing Malaria drugs worthy MK350 000.

Chilumba Police Officer-in charge Billy Chiboga confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local media house in the country.

Chiboga identified the four as Soyapi Hara- a medical Assistant, Alexander Longwe -watch man, Lenard Mowa and Wilfred Ngosi both health surveillance assistants.

He said the four committed the offence on June 12, 2015 and sold the said medical drugs to one of the business players in the district.

Meanwhile the four will appear in court soon to answer charges of theft by public servants.
