NTATA AT IT AGAIN: IMPLICATES MUTHARIKA’s BUSINESS PARTNER IN THE MK92 BILLION CASHGATE

Lawyer Allan Ntata has implicated three prominent Asian businessmen who are believed to be President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s business partners in the yet to be released MK92 billion PwC Cashgate report.

The development comes amid growing concerns from Opposition Political Parties in the country over the delay in publishing the MK92 billion reports which reveals the siphoning of public funds that happened during the reign of late Professor Bingu wa Mutharika.

Writing in his official Facebook Page Ntata named three prominent Asian businessmen implicated in the report as a Mr Abdulla Imtiaz Master of Nyiombo Investments and Worldwide Wholesalers, Mrs Sadiq of HTD Limited and Mr Zuneth of Ocean Industries Ltd (OIL) are implicated.

“Nyiombo Investments has been mentioned after the company got 1.8 billion from the Malawian Police through a dubious scheme for police officers in the entire three regions. Every month Nyiombo was getting not less than MK50 million from each regional police and national police headquarters for fertilizer deals yet fertilizer obtained by the offices nationwide did noy exceed that amount,” wrote Ntata.

Ntata alleged that Nyiombo is putting enormous pressure on Mutharika not to release the report until government formalises the new arrangements of having Nyiombo and the other two traders in agrobusiness certified as the sole suppliers of fertiliser to the government for the next FISP period.

Mutharika’s critic also said that a Mrs Sadiq of HTD allegedly defrauded government through the Malawi Police close to 20 billion on bogus purchase of motor vehicles eg KIA sorento.

“President Mutharika is closely linked and associated with HTD and the bogus payments could be linked to him. From 2010 to 2011, he allegedly travelled regularly with a Mr Harris Sidik the Director of HTD. This was the time the two were allegedly sharing their share of the MK92 billion.

“As for OIL close to 50 billion was stolen through tge Malawi Police quartermaster section for reflector jackets, boots riot gear and teargas cannisters. The same company is linked to Paramount group,” said Ntata

Meanwhile Opposition MPs have threatened to shoot down the budget if the report will not be presented in Parliament as soon as possible.
