7 NIGERIANS NETTED FOR ENTERING THE COUNTRY ILLEGALLY

Information reaching faceofMalawi indicates that 7 Nigerian nationals have been arrested in the Northern district of Karonga on the grounds that they entered in the country illegally.

Both the Police and the immigration Department in Karonga have confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press.

According to Karonga Immigration spokesperson Martha Banda, the immigrants were arrested at a certain check point near Khwawa trading centre as they were heading to the Capital Lilongwe.

She said the Nigerians are between the ages of 23 to 47.

The Nigerian nationals will soon appear in Court to answer charges of illegal entry into the country.
