I believe before you propose to her, there are some questions you need to ask yourself. I hate it when men propose to a lady and call it off months later because they were not sure they really wanted to marry her.

1. ARE YOU EMOTIONALLY READY?

This is a serious question every man should ask himself before they propose to any lady. Some men propose without being ready emotionally and that could spell doom for your marriage. You need to ask yourself if you have really gotten over your last heart break. You need to be sure you no longer want an ex back in your life. Marriage is serious and you have to be sure you are ready emotionally before going into it.

2. IS SHE REALLY READY?

It’s one thing for you to be ready but you need to ask yourself if she is really ready. You need to know her views about spending eternity with you. You need to be sure she has gotten over her ex and doesn’t want him back. Is she really ready for it? These are some of the things you sincerely need to know.

3. CAN YOU AFFORD BEING MARRIED?

We need to tell ourselves the truth, finance is an important factor in marriage. When you marry her, it’s no longer about you anymore because you now have two persons you need to cater for. I am not saying you have to be rich but you have to able to cater for the basic things when you get married. If you are in serious debts, you need to clear them or even discuss it with her because debts can ruin marriages and you won’t want that for your marriage.

4. WHY DO YOU LOVE HER?

It’s important you know why you love her. If your only reason for loving her is because she walks so good, then you need to check yourself again because she won’t walk that way forever and what happens when she stops walking that way? If you love her only because she has a shape like Kim Kardashian, then it means you would leave her the moment she loses that shape. All I am trying to see is a woman’s physical appearance shouldn’t be the only reason you should love her.

5. ARE YOU READY TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH HER ALONE?

If you plan cheating on her, then you shouldn’t bother proposing to her. If you know you can’t stick with one woman, it’s best you remain a playboy forever and never get married. The problems most marriages have is the man never stops cheating even after marrying her. You have to be sure you want to spend the rest of your life with her alone.

6. ARE YOU WILLING TO MAKE COMPROMISES TO MAKE IT WORK?

If you are a man that would never compromise no matter what, then marriage isn’t for you. All marriages that have succeeded have one thing in common – the couples involved compromised to make it work. You have to be ready to give up some of the things you cherish to make the marriage work. So before you propose to her, ask yourself if you are willing to compromise.
