NAMES OF CANDIDATES TO PURSUE PRIMARY TEACHER TRAINING COURSE RELEASED (IPTE11)

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has released names of candidates who have been selected to pursue a Primary Teacher Training course in the Public Teacher Training Colleges. The course is offered under the Initial Primary Teacher Education (IPTE 11) conventional programme.

This has been disclosed in a Press Statement released few minutes ago made available to FaceofMalawi.

The statement says those entire selected student should report to their respective colleges on Saturday 12th September, 2015 to start their studies and a delay of two weeks will force the Ministry to declare the places vacant.

“The selected candidates are also informed that they should bring their original Malawi School Certificate of Education, beddings, plates, cups, cutlery, water buckets, writing materials, dictionaries, bathing towels and soap when reporting for the training programme in the teacher training colleges,” reads in part the statement.

Adds the statement: “Please take note that student teachers will not be given any upkeep allowances during the period they will be at their respective colleges.”

The Ministry has also urged the candidates to pay K5,000.00 tuition fees and K30,000.00 boarding fees, on the day of registration.

“The candidates are further informed that tuition fees for one academic year is K15,000 whereas boarding fees is K90.000,” reads the statement.
