CANOE TRAGEDY UPDATES: THREE BODIES RECOVERED IN SHIRE RIVER

Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that Police in Nsanje have recovered three bodies believed to be those among eleven people who went missing after a boat they were travelling in capsized on Monday.

Nsanje Police Officer-in-Charge Kirby Kaunga confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Kaunda said law enforcers and some community members found the bodies of the three some kilometres away from Port-Shire whire the accident happened.

He said out of the three bodies, two are women and a child and Police are yet to come up with their particulars.

Meanwhile the search for the remaining eight bodies is still continuing.
