A 31-year-old man is in Police in Blantyre for allegedly posing as a medical doctor at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in the commercial capital Blantyre.
This is the third fake doctor to be arrested at QUECH this year alone and the fifth fake doctor to be arrested national wide.
Hospital Administrator Themba Mhango confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press and identified the suspect as Zamil Michael.
According to Mhango, the fake doctor was arrested by the hospital security officers after receiving a tip from guardians who were surprised with his dressing code.
Blantyre Police Spokesperson Elizabeth Divala confirmed of the development with the press but denied to give more details, saying investigations are still in progress.
Michael was found with a Stethoscope which he said belongs to one of the trained medical doctors in the country.
