ONE SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO THE OG PLASTICS MK6 MILLION ROBBERY

Police in Blantyre have arrested a suspect in connection to the MK6 million OG plastics robbery that happened on Saturday 24, 2015 in Maselema.

The armed thugs also shot dead a Police officer identified as Yohane Mbutao and wounded another cop seriously.

The Police have also recovered a Toyota Altezza and Nissan Note presumed to have been involved in criminal activity.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, John Nyondo have confirmed of the development in an interview with the press but denied to give the details of the suspect.

Nyondo said the arrest follows a massive manhunt the Police launched in the commercial capital Blantyre.

Apart from the vehicles, Police have also recovered items from a BCA Hills home, where the suspects were based. The items included furniture, electronics, and luggage worth over millions in kwachas.
