DPP REGIONAL TREASURE SHOT BY UNKNOWN PEOPLE IN MZUZU

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Regional Treasurer for the North Happy Kumwenda is battling for his life at St. John Hospital in Mzuzu after being shot by unknown people.

According to information at hand, the incident happened on Monday night right at his house at Mzilawayingwe Township.

Northern Region Police Publicist Maurice Chapola confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the local radios in the country.

Chapola said Kumwenda was shot on the back.

Kumwenda is also a Malawi Housing Corporation Board member and very active member in the DPP regional committee.

Meanwhile no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
