Late father Rodrick Zinyongo of Dedza Diocese will be laid to rest today.
Father Zinyongo died on Wednesday at Kamuzu Central Hospital in the capital Lilongwe, according to a statement released by Episcopal Conference of Malawi Secretariat.
On Thursday, His Grace Archbishop Tarcisius Gervazio Ziyaye of Lilongwe Diocese led church faithful’s in paying their last respect to the departed soul of Fr. Rodrick Zinyongo at Kamuzu Central Hospital mortuary as it was taken for burial.
Burial Mass will be held today Friday, January 8 2016 at Bembeke Cathedral from 10.00 am.
Fr. Zinyongo was ordained priest in 1984.
Zinyongo got his Primary Education from Kasina PreparatorySeminary and did his Secondary Education at St Kizito Minor Seminary, then proceeded to the Major Seminaries of Kachebere in Mchinji and St Peter’s in Zomba.
