Angry mob in Neno has gruesomely killed four people suspected of practicing witchcraft following the mysterious death of a teenage girl.
Neno Police Publicist Raphael Kaliati has confimed of the development in an interview with one of the privately owned radio [Zodiak Broadcasting Station].
According to Kaliati, on Monday this week lightning struck to death a 17 year –old girl identified as Flora Kanjete, making some villagers to believe that witchcraft was at play.
He said the villagers then descend on 86 year old Eliza Kanjete, Elenefa Kanjete aged 76, Byson Kanjete aged 76 and 69 year old Julius Kanjete.
Kaliati said Police were called in to restore order in the village but it was too late for the police to save the suspects from the angry mob.
