SECURITY GUARD DIES OF STROKE WHILE ON DUTY

A 65-year-old Guardian Angel Security Services guard on Sunday 24th January died due to stroke attack while on duty in Lilongwe.

Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Inspector Kingsley Dandaula identified the guard as Samson Mchakamwa, from Gomeli village in the area of Traditional Authority Lundu in Chikwawa.

Dandaula said Mchakamwa was found dead at around 5.00 in the morning by his fellow guard at his workplace in Area 47, Sector 2 in Lilongwe.

“The deceased and another guard were on duty on Sunday and the two had chatted for a while during midnight before each one went to his post within the workplace premises. At around 5.00 in the morning his fellow guard went to check on him only to find Mchakamwa dead,” said Dandaula.

He said the matter was reported to Lingadzi Police who visited the scene and postmortem conducted revealed that death was due to stroke.mana
